What an amazing and wonderful time we had with our Jerry Ghionis and Kevin Kubota photography workshops and African Photo Safaris. We were so pleased that these two amazing photographers joined us at Idube Photo Safaris on one of our African Photo Safaris and photography workshops. We stayed at our Thakadu River Camp lodge that is located in the northern part of South Africa just on the boarder with Botswana. This camp is beautiful and the staff is so friendly and helpful, with every need being catered to0.
The food was so good, the lodge had a new chief and menu, and I must say I did gain some weight on these safaris. The soups, main courses, and amazing deserts were very testy, along with the beautiful location where we have our outdoor dinners.
The wildlife viewing was outstanding, with days of over a hundred elephants in one place, lots of great plans game and giraffe sightings, the buffalo herds are growing larger every year, with one herd we witnessed well over 300 buffalo. Lots of lions, Cheetah sightings were amazing, and as usual the leopards were a bit tricky to find. The bird life was prolific and we are seeing larger and larger groups of vultures in the Madikwe area.
