Amazing would be an understatement for our recent Alaska Brown Bear Photography workshop. We spent our days photographing Alaskan Brown Bears in the world famous Lake Clarke National Park. Lake Clark National Park is a land of stunning beauty where volcanoes steam, salmon run, bears forage, craggy mountains reflect in shimmering turquoise lakes, and local people and culture still depend on the land and water of their home. Solitude is found around every bend in the river and shoulder of a mountain. What a beautiful and inspiring Place.
The bears were very cooperative and plentiful, we did not have to travel far to get in position to photograph theses amazing animals. With in minutes of the lodge we were photographing bears, a short ATV ride, and we were with in range for great photography. My favorite time to photograph the Grizzly's is during the tidal changes, the bears are busy filling them selves with the spanning salmon. A great time to get action photographs and fishing images all at the same time. At other times of the day the bears would spend hours on the beach searching for Razer clams, another great opportunity to photograph Brown Bears during a natural and exciting activity.
Idube's 2016 Alaska brown Bear Photography Workshop is 90 percent filled, we have some really fun activities planned for this amazing trip. September is such a beautiful time to be in Alaska, the fall colors are in full swing and the bears are working at the last chance to fatten up before the winter hibernation.
